Join us in the making of altars to celebrate the memory of our departed loved ones. There will be arts and crafts, sugar skull decorating, performances by community groups, and much more.

Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with us and watch Coco in the great outdoors. Bring photos or personal items of your loved ones who have passed, to place on an ofrenda to honor and celebrate their lives. Appropriate for all ages. Nighttime at Stafford can get chilly; dress in layers and bring your warmest clothes to stay comfortable throughout the evening. Bring food, warm drinks, lawn chairs, and blankets. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor quality may cancel; if in doubt, call (415) 897-0618 two hours before the event to confirm the status.

Located in the Front Garden. As the capstone to a month of programming in celebration of this time-honored Mexican tradition, the Center’s annual Altar-Lighting ceremony takes place November 2nd on our front lawn.

The Rohnert Park Community Services Department is excited to host the 4th annual Halloween Carnival with Día de los Muertos Celebration!

Immerse yourself in the rich Latin-American cultural heritage as we honor our ancestors and family. Inspired by joyous Guatemalan traditions, our event features Mayan Mam dance and music, along with beautifully crafted traditional altars paying homage to our loved ones.

Save the date for Community Day: Día de Los Muertos, a full day of live entertainment, cultural demonstrations, and an eclectic mix of artmaking experiences. Join us as we collaborate with local artists, partners, and organizations for this truly intracultural and multigenerational event! Museum admission is free all day.

Celebrate and learn how the the Bay Area's Latino and Filipino communities commemorate lost loved ones and share your own tokens of remembrance with a day of collaborative Día de Los Muertos altar-making at KQED and poetry created in partnership with Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts and the Filipino Service Providers Network.

Learn the significance of the cempasúchil (marigold) in Dia de los Muertos celebrations and create your own paper flowers. For children ages 5 and older. 

Celebrate VIVA and Dia de los Muertos by creating colorful skulls to place on your altar using air dry clay. For ages 12-18.
