We’re excited to invite you to a FREE family-friendly community event hosted by MALT at the beautiful Black Mountain Ranch in West Marin. This is your chance to explore the magic of a working ranch and immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of West Marin. Whether you’re simply looking for a relaxing way to connect with your community or want your family to experience an authentic ranch, this day has something for everyone.

Make Memories

Enjoy a hike up iconic Black Mountain or take a guided ranch tour. 

Meet the animals, listen to live local music, or catch a cooking demo.

Make a lavender satchel, plant a wool pellet, or participate in other engaging activities like a community art project. 

Hear from local farmers and ranchers about their work.

Picnic with Loved Ones

Bring your own beverages and a picnic to savor while you relax and enjoy the lively afternoon. Don’t forget to pack a blanket, chairs, and layers to make the most of your day.

Black Mountain Ranch, protected by MALT since 1993, is one of the most recognizable landmarks in West Marin, home to vegetable farmers, cattle ranchers, and fiber producers. This is your opportunity to experience its beauty and history firsthand while celebrating the land we all work to preserve.
