Home Ground Habitats Summer Camps for Grades 1-12

No child left inside this summer!

Home Ground Habitats, Novato’s Butterfly Sanctuary, is offering its second year of fun Nature Camps for children and teens. Campers get to experience the natural world up close and personal with fun hands-on, age appropriate activities that will delight and inspire.

Pollinator Protector Corps

July 7-11, 2025, Ages 11-18 is a unique opportunity that will be offered for the first time in July 2025 for young environmentalists to make a real difference in their community. Participants will have the satisfying experience of actively designing and implementing a pollinator corridor in Novato to help save the Western Monarch butterfly. This project week will contribute to Novato achieving the prestigious National Wildlife Federation certification as a Certified Wildlife Habitat–a legacy for the community and a powerful skill building experience for participants to carry with them into their future!

Apprenticeship Afternoons

July 21-25, and July 28-August 1, 2025, Ages 11-18 provides a fun introduction to learning valuable habitat gardening and conservation skills, and the chance to teach these skills to younger children while contributing to Home Ground's vital work of protecting pollinators and creating ecological landscapes.
