Celebrations from the July 14, 1789 storming of the Bastille fortress in Paris during the French Revolution, have been held on the Champs-Elysees since World War I. Every year, throngs of people flock to Paris to view the military spectacle rolling down complete with French flags everywhere, concerts and fireworks. This year France has cancelled Bastille Day parade and all celebrations have moved online because of the coronavirus.
