College of Marin’s High School Program
/COLLEGE CREDIT PROGRAM (CCP) CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
College of Marin’s curriculum is equivalent to courses offered for the first two years at the University of California and California State University systems. Each year hundreds of high school students like you enroll in a variety of College of Marin classes, including foreign languages, science, dance, art, music, social sciences, and more. If you are not planning to transfer to a four-year university, consider enrolling in one of our workforce preparation programs such as business office technology, computer information systems, multimedia, court reporting, medical assisting, or auto technology among others.
COMPASS
COMPASS (College of Marin Promoting and Supporting Success) is COM’s primary tool in its efforts to end educational inequity in Marin County and is the result of two years of planning with the Marin County Office of Education, every high school in the county, and several community-based partners. It is a partnership between students, families, high schools, and College of Marin, which begins in the 9th grade. The 2015-16 academic year saw the initial launch of the COMPASS project in both Terra Linda and San Marin high schools.
Participating students agree to fulfill certain responsibilities:
- Enrollment in COUN 115/125 in 9th Grade
- Participation in supplemental activities
- Enrollment in specific high school courses based on assessments and the creation of tailored high school and college educational plans
- Financial planning and college application process
- Enrollment in additional COM courses throughout the high school career

JUMPSTART SUMMER/FALL 2018
High school students can enroll in college classes and pay no enrollment fee* for up to 11 units—a savings of $506 per semester! This saves not only money but also time, by meeting both high school credit requirements and earning transferable college credit at the same time. Take advantage of this offer to explore areas of interest, build college confidence, and earn transferable credits.
How to Sign Up
- Apply online at www.marin.edu. Soon after submitting your application you will receive a Welcome Letter with your Student ID number (M00xxxxxx), username and password.
- Complete the College Credit Program (CCP) application, including all required signatures. CCP applications are also available at your local high school counseling center.
- Attend a group orientation listed above (bring your completed CCP form) or call (415) 485-9432 to make a short appointment to meet with a counselor and turn in your CCP form. If you cannot attend one of the group orientations, you should ask for a drop-in appointment at either Counseling Office (Kentfield or Indian Valley Campuses).
- Register online for your classes.
* You are responsible for student fees:
- Required Health fee (gives you access to our Student Health Center)
- Required Transportation (free bus pass on Marin Transit)
- Optional Technology fee (provides a credit for GoPrint copying) and Student representation and activities fee which may be waived by submitting the waiver form.
- Any course material fees and textbooks. Textbooks are available for short-term borrowing in the COM Library.
