Girls, families ... Meet local science heroes and learn how to prepare for a STEM future, now! How can we change the perception of scientists that is currently depicted in mainstream media? How can we spark girls' curiosity about STEM and empower them to move toward STEM careers? Join local science heroes and CaT Bobino, host of "In The Know Science Show" for a lively and interactive discussion on inspiring and empowering girls to pursue a STEM career.

Explore aerospace engineering at Hiller Aviation Museum! Aero Design Challenge provides students Grades 5-12 with a 3-hour adventure in design thinking. Students work in small teams to investigate the science behind a problem in flight, then work together to design, build, test and improve a flying model! There is no charge to participate but space is limited, so register here!

El Dr. Saúl Villeda, quien es profesor de la Universidad de California en San Francisco (UCSF), compartirá como fue su crianza en el sur de California, siendo hijo de inmigrantes guatemaltecos, hasta convertirse en un investigador científico. Los participantes aprenderán tambien sobre las investigaciones del Dr. Villeda a través de ejercicios prácticos que serán dirigidos por voluntarios de UCSF. Esta presentación será en español.
My Journey to Science
UCSF professor Saul Villeda will share his path to science – from growing up in Southern CA the son of Guatemalan immigrants to his current research. Participants will also learn about Dr. Villeda’s research through hands-on activities led by UCSF volunteers. This presentation will be in Spanish.

Science demos, hands-on activities, performances, and maker spaces with STEAM projects. Presented for teens, by teens. Must be 12-18 years old to enter. Hang out in the lounge, win raffle prizes, and take home free swag. First 500 teens receive a free drawstring tote!
