July’s “buck” moon orbits closer to the earth than at any other time of the year, offering sky gazers an especially luminous treat. This moon is named after the mid-summer season when mature bucks display crowns of impressive antlers. Join this easy, 2-mile round-trip journey for an excellent bayside lunar viewing experience.
Location: Meeting location emailed upon reservation.
Difficulty: Easy 2 miles round trip
Bring: Warm clothing, water, flashlight or headlamp with spare batteries. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes for hiking.
Note: Hike begins at 8:45 p.m. sharp, so don't be late or you'll miss the fun!
