This class will introduce students to traditional Folklorico elements such as zapateado, faldeo, posture, stage presence, storytelling, and community building. Together we will develop our understanding and practice of the regional dances of Mexico and Latin America through social, performance, and ritual dance. In order for students to maximize their learning opportunity, a Folklorico skirt and Folklorico shoes are highly encouraged.
