Community Spring Fair

  • Bon Air Center 224 Bon Air Center Larkspur, CA, 94904 United States (map)

Join Mollie Stone’s Market, The Kentfield Greenbrae Historical Society (KGHS) and Bon Air merchants in celebration of spring at the Bon Air Community Spring Fair, Saturday, May 20th. Enjoy a showcase of more than 60 local farms and food producers sampling their wares and leading food demonstrations along the Bon Air promenade. Try sips of beverages such as SunWink Tonics, Good Idea Wellness Water and Jeremiah’s Pick Coffee while you taste Alex’s Awesome Sourdough Pizza, Rise & Puff Tortillas, Jinka Plant-Based Tuna and chips and salsas from recent Shark Tank contender, Hector from Tia Lupita Foods. Enjoy free festivities for the family, educational services and programs provided by Marin community organizations and the community’s story-filled history.

Hands-on activities with community organizations from across Marin will be held at booths along the promenade. Enjoy performances by student musicians from Bacich Elementary and Branson High School, dance from Dance with E.N.A, fitness class demos from Orangetheory and Bear Flag Fitness. Giveaways, prizes and sidewalk specials from Bon Air’s merchants including generous treat donations from Susie Cakes, Jamba Juice, Mollie Stone’s and Gott’s Roadside for children who play the “Passport game” while visiting booths.

KGHS will debut a newly acquired and important historical painting and provide a presentation about its history with noted local historians Dewey Livingston and Richard Torney. The painting by noted 19th century artist Joseph Lee is a rare and important view of central Marin County. Lee details the village of Ross Landing (what would later become Kentfield) with incredible accuracy. Ross Landing was the only town in the vicinity at that time.

The Marin Rose Society will exhibit inside space #110 (western end of the promenade) with a beautiful, fragrant exhibit of more than 41 categories of expertly grown roses on display to the public. Volunteers will assist children of all ages in creating a beautiful bouquet. After judging is complete, cut roses are available for purchase at $2/each, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Center for Domestic Peace.
