If you enjoy offbeat facts and colorful true stories then don't miss writer/cartoonist Andy Warner, author of 'Brief Histories of Everyday Objects,'—everything from paperclips to roller skates—and the recently released 'This Land is My Land: A Graphic History of Big Dreams, Micronations, and Other Self-Made States' (with illustrator Sofie Louise Dam), which looks at efforts to form an ideal society—from the pirate-founded, anti-slavery community of Libertatia to the Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands. Andy's also a contributor to the online editorial cartooning publication The Nib.
Admission is free. Andy will be signing books following his presentation.
