Throckmorton Youth Performers (TYP) is presenting WEST SIDE STORY, featuring some of the North Bay’s most talented young performers. Young lovers are caught between prejudice and warring street gangs in this seminal retelling of Romeo and Juliet. From the first notes to the final breath, WEST SIDE STORY is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents’ book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever.

TYP offers exceptional theatre arts education, fantastic performance opportunities and the best in family entertainment. TYP’s goal is to build confidence, inspire leadership, promote cooperative and creative thinking, and to foster the development of social skills that young people can use for the rest of their lives, all through the performing arts.
