The Sausalito Art Festival and Antenna Theater are proud to present the The Heart of San Francisco, a COVID-safe theatrical event celebrating the elements that make San Francisco so beloved. Using the natural beauty of the Bay Area as its grand and gorgeous outdoor stage, The Heart of San Francisco will celebrate the people, places, and things, that make San Francisco the most famous peace and love generating city in the world.

For the first time, the Bay Area will be transformed into an outdoor theatrical venue for this interdisciplinary, audio-visual performance. The Heart of San Francisco will unite sky writing, boats, windsurfers, music, narration, the Golden Gate Bridge, mountains, and islands together for a performance to experience via video streaming.

The performance will culminate with mile-high hearts being drawn over the Golden Gate Bridge and will be visible to a large population of the Bay Area (watch the event from your mobile devise and view it live), or from your homes or other safe place via live-stream.

Although prohibited from hosting the Festival this year, you are invited to join the Sausalito Art Festival and Antenna Theater for this live-stream event to celebrate the best of San Francisco. Check back soon for live stream URL.

The Festival will conclude with an Online Silent Auction featuring creative works from artists throughout the nation who have previously exhibited live at the Sausalito Art Festival. It’s your opportunity to visit your favorite artists from the safety of your home.

Now in its 68th year, the Sausalito Art Festival refuses to be stopped by COVID-19 and we hope you will join us “virtually” this year to help keep the creative spirit alive.
