Sunday Streets 2022 Is Back

Sunday Streets SF is returning in 2022 with 6 big, beautiful mile plus long routes in historic neighborhoods between April and September, 11am-4pm, and the second annual Phoenix Day citywide on October 16th, 2022.

Sunday Streets is San Francisco’s open streets program that transforms miles of city streets into car-free community spaces for kids to play, seniors to stroll, businesses and organizations to connect, and neighbors to meet.

April 10, 11am-4pm

The streets of Tenderloin for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Taking place on Larkin St, Golden Gate Ave and Ellis St, neighbors and visitors alike will have over a mile of car-free streets to enjoy.

As an official event sponsor, GLIDE will pull out all the stops in this celebration of the city’s reopening. Attendees will enjoy a dance party with DJ King Most, performances by the GLIDE Ensemble under the direction of Vernon Bush, as well as carnival-style food, games for all ages, face painting, giant Jenga, an interactive art station hosted by GLIDE’s Center for Social Justice, and more. Other highlights of Sunday Streets Tenderloin include a Thai New Year celebration hosted by The Tenderloin Merchants Association; Second Line Brass Band Procession hosted by The Tenderloin Museum; Tenderloin Flea Market hosted by TNDC and the Tenderloin People’s Congress.

June 12, 11am-4pm

On June 12th, 2022, Sunday Streets SF will open up the streets of Excelsior for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Taking place on Mission Street from Theresa to Geneva Ave, neighbors and visitors alike will have over a mile of car-free streets to enjoy.

July 10, 11am-4pm

On July 10th, 2022, Sunday Streets SF will open up the streets of the Mission for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Taking place on Valencia Street between Duboce Ave and 26th Street, neighbors and visitors alike will have over a mile of car-free streets to enjoy.

August 21, 11am-4pm

The streets of SoMa for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Taking place on Folsom St from 9th to Main St, neighbors and visitors alike will have over 1.5 miles of car-free streets to enjoy.

September 18, 11am-4pm

On September 18th, 2022, Sunday Streets SF will open up the streets of Western Addition for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Taking place on Fillmore St, Fulton St and Baker St, neighbors and visitors alike will have over a mile of car-free streets to enjoy.

October 16th, 2021 will mark the second annual Phoenix Day with a fun-filled program taking place across the City. From neighbor-hosted block parties, to sidewalk sales, and family fun hubs –  Phoenix Day has something in store for everyone!
