166th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Civic Center, San Francisco, Saturday, March 11, free
Irish history and culture are in full swing at this colorful festival showcasing Irish culture through live performances and entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitors, food and beverage concessions, children’s rides and inflatables, and non-profits booths representing the Irish community. The Parade begins at 11:30 AM on Saturday at the corner of Second and Market, where more than 5,000 participants from all over the states will reel about with laughter and revelry all the way to City Hall.
St. Patrick’s Day 5K & Kid’s Run - Crissy Field East Bech Parking Area, March 12
Run west along Crissy Field/Golden Gate Promenade. Stay along path into Fort Point National Historic Site. Turnaround at end of parking lot and return same way to finish.
Shamrock Day/Gold Hunt - Habitot Children's Museum, Berkeley, Friday, March 17
Enjoy special activities in the museum such as a hunt for hidden gold treasure, storytelling of Irish folktales, and more. Visitors are encouraged to wear green.
St. Patrick's Day Celebration - Dublin Civic Center, Saturday and Sunday, March 18 and 19, free
Where else but Dublin? Dublin, California that is. One of the BIGGEST celebrations around. Dublin goes all out for St. Patties Day with a citywide festival, carnival rides, gala, pancake breakfast ($5 donation), parade, and Shamrock Run/Walk. Rain or Shine.
St. Patrick's Day Parade - Old Sacramento, Saturday, March 18, free
One of Northern California’s Largest and Most Colorful Parades Unites All Cultures. Hundreds of colorful marchers dressed in green, along with Irish and Highland dancers, pipe and drum bands, historic re-enactors and a variety of cultural organizations. The parade steps off promptly at 1:00 p.m. from 2nd & I Streets in Old Sacramento and proceeds throughout the national historic landmark district.

2017 Lucky Run 5K/10K - Novato, Sunday, March 26
The annual fundraiser for Safe & Sober Grad of Novato is a chance to get a little extra wear out of your St. Patrick’s Day green, and support a fun and sober night out for graduating high school seniors around Novato. Starting and ending at Hamilton Landing YMCA, the 5K and 10K runs feature scenic views of the local wetlands. Walkers are welcome, and wearing green is encouraged.
