Well Blow Me Down, It's The Northern California Pirate Festival

Avast ye land lubbers and shiver me timbers at The Northern California Pirate Festival 10th Anniv-arrr-sery Celebration this F-Arrr-thers Day Weekend, June 17 and 18 from 10am-6pm. It's the largest pirate festival on the west coast with three stages of continuous music, magic, comedy, and more. Pirate encampments, nautically inspired handcrafts, adventurous swordfights, ship to shore black powder cannon battles, waterfront games, swimming mermaids, gourmet foods, a dedicated children’s area with 30 foot slide and Children’s Schoole of Piracy, and more.....Arrr! Head over to 289 Mare Island Parkway, Vallejo, (Next to the Vallejo Ferry Terminal) or I'll make ye walk the plank.

Just look a some of the fun for Junior Pirates:

  • Come aboard a magical adventure with the elaborate marionette/puppets in Nymbol’s Secret Garden.
  • Meet the sirens of the sea, the mythical mermaids, captured by the pirates and now swimming in their own lagoon. Perhaps one will let you touch her silvery tail!

  • Join Stubby Wood and Mister Mac on the Treasure Island Kid’s Stage for a costume contest where every young pirate wins a bit o’ pirate booty.

  • Learn the skills and customs of all swashbucklers to scallywags at the Schoole of Piracy. From navigating by the stars to swabbing the decks, each “graduate” will be ready for a life on the high seas.

  • Practice swinging from the yardarms on the new 180 ft. Zip Line, Bungee Jump or The Kraken, a 30’ slide of an octopus devouring a ship. Other one of a kind games and activities include “Cat-A-Pults vs. Pi-Rats,” Crossbows, and “Monkey Cannons.”

  • Witness swordfights and black powder cannons before cheering the twice daily Ship to Shore Cannon Battle.

  • Discover and decorate your own treasure at The Painting Garden.

  • Imagine your life upon a ship with Pirates of the Silver Realm or receive a pardon from the British Government House if you forswear your corrupt life of piracy.
