Weekly Backyard Garden Bounty Exchanges

The Marin Open Garden Project resumes June 17th its weekly exchanges of backyard garden grown bounty in locations in Marin County. Backyard gardeners are encouraged to bring their excess fruit, vegetables, flowers, eggs, honey, seeds, seedlings, and other goodies every Saturday to the following locations for exchange with other gardeners: 

  • San Anselmo, 9-10am, Town Hall Lawn
  • San Rafael-Santa Venetia, 9-10am, Pueblo Park at Hacienda Way

The Marin Open Garden Project continues to sponsor other additional programs such as:

  • Fruit Tree Harvesting
  • The MicroGarden installation program assisting homeowners in installing and planting four foot square raised bed gardens.
  • Providing free gleaning of vegetable gardens and fruit trees to residents upon request, with all produce to be donated to organizations serving Marin County residents in need.
  • Networking gardeners with land to share with gardeners without land.
  • The online Fruit Tree & Garden Registry Mapping Project.
  • Gardening Tool Lending Library.
