McLaren Lodge Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, December 1, 4-8pm, Golden Gate Park, train rides for the kids, live entertainment and a visit from Santa, Golden Gate Park.

The Ritz-Carlton, December 1, 5:30-7:30pm, 40-foot holiday tree outside the hotel is illuminated by Santa Claus and his little helper from the Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area. Hosted by KRON Channel 4 anchor Vicki Liviakis, this annual tree lighting ceremony begins with Dickens-era costumed carolers and trumpeters performing holiday favorites throughout the hotel while guests and locals alike enjoy holiday beverages and treats. After the ceremony, children are invited to take photos and visit with Santa. #RCMemories

Pier 39's Tree Lighting Ceremony, November 19. feature live entertainment performing seasonal favorites. Bring the whole family to sing, shop and swoon at the 60’ tree. PIER 39’s majestic tree, adorned with glistening ornaments, bows and twinkling lights will be lit at approximately 6:00 pm in the Entrance Plaza.

Union Square Tree Lighting Ceremony (Macy's 24th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony) is on November 25, festivities begin at 6pm with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:40pm. Get to Union Square early for the best spot.
