King tides and storms often dump loads of floating trash onto the shoreline this time of year. We can protect wildlife and make our beach a more beautiful place by picking up some of it!
Late fall during high tide is a beautiful time to walk the shoreline, with great views, lots of wildlife to see, and some interesting history to discuss. 3.5 miles of flat walking through diverse landscapes.
Come join your neighbors and local scientists to document the highest tides of the year!
What are King Tides? How do they affect plants and animals, and what can we learn from them? Find out the answers to these questions and participate in the community science King Tides Project on this easy walk along the San Francisco Bay shore.
Join the EV in a fun, interactive learning experience which will teach you about what King Tides are and why they are exciting!
