Sponsor: Greenwood School Open House

Due to the storm, the Open House has been rescheduled to January 23rd.

Come on down to Greenwood School’s Open House for parents who are interested in finding out more about:

  • Next year's 1st Grade.

  • Making the transition to the Grades.

  • How Greenwood builds on the PreSchool.

  • The Kindergarten experience.

  • How the Grades curriculum integrates reading, writing, math, and more.

Meet the Teachers

Hosted by Peggy Rock (K) and Dena Malon (1st Grade Teacher).   Other sessions will cover NEST (Greenwood's Nature & Environmental Science program) with Ben Tunney (NEST) & Anna Tosick (4th Grade Teacher), Science Education at Greenwood with Roland Baril (7th Grade Teacher), and the Math curriculum & high school readiness with Shana Strongin (Math Specialty Teacher) and Pauline Bohn (8th Grade Teacher).  Examples of Spanish, Music, and Handwork throughout the grades will also be on display.

We'll conclude the evening with a Q & A session with recent Greenwood graduates.

Art Exhibit & Opening Reception, 5:30pm-6:30pm

Greenwood parent & owner of The Makery Jane Watson has graciously agreed to host an exhibit of 7th & 8th Grade woodworking & art projects.  The opening night reception will be at The Makery immediately before the Open House, from 5:30-6:30pm.  This popular event is a great way to see first hand the work the Middle School students have made this year.  No RSVP necessary.
