County Fairs With Local Flair

County fairs are an iconic piece of Americana with a rich history highlighting a regions individual specialties. Fortunately, the Bay Area hosts a number of great county fairs creating an experience that is unquestionably unique to the area, while at the same time timeless and familiar. So this summer, get swept away by our local county fairs.
May 16 - 19
Join us at the Contra Costa County Fair for Cows, Corn Dog & Carnival Rides. Oh My!
June 20-23
The Sonoma-Marin Fair promotes and showcases agriculture, while displaying the diverse talents, interests and accomplishments of the residents of California, especially the youth of Sonoma and Marin counties. This is achieved by providing education, entertainment and recreational opportunities for the general public, while continually striving towards enhancing the promotion and preservation of California’s agricultural heritage.
May 23 - May 27
The Sacramento County Fair is BACK with BIGGER excitement in a BIGGER way! It’s all about BIGGER.
June 1 - 9, 11am-10pm
The San Mateo County Event Center is excited to bring you the Annual San Mateo County Fair. In its 85+ year history, the San Mateo County Fair has brought together the community for live entertainment, competitive events, unique food, arts & educational exhibits, magnificent floral and garden creations, livestock and agricultural exhibits, and an exciting, fun-filled carnival for all ages.
June 13-16, 11am-10pm
The Ferris Wheel will be spinning and the deep-fry oil will be sizzling as Solano County’s summertime treat returns. The Board of Directors of the Solano County Fair Association (SCFA) announce, (or maybe shout from the rooftops is more apropos), the return of the Solano County Fair.
July 3-7
Held annually over the 4th of July holiday, fairgoers enjoy five days of art, rides, concerts, fair food delights, shopping and so much more. See you in ’24!
June 14 - July 7, 11am to 11pm
The Alameda County Fair returns this Summer for nineteen days of all your Fair favorite fun. Experience the Fair like never before with new events, new rides and new Fair food experiences. We are bringing back a full line-up of concerts and live horse racing along with so many of your Fair favorites. We can’t wait to have you back and see you on the Road To Summer.
July 25 - August 4
This year the Santa Clara County Fair will be dedicated to livestock and home art exhibits. Admission will be free. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer a carnival, any commercial vendors or traditional fair food, but we encourage you to visit our exhibits and support our youth who have spent countless hours volunteering and preparing their animals for show and the Jr. Livestock Auction.
August 1-10, 2025
“Hot Dogs and Cool Cats” This year’s Fair is all about celebrating our four-legged, feathered, and scaly friends, with amazing animal shows, the “Petals and Pets” Flower Show, and so much more!

Calistoga's 100+ year old 4th of July Parade returns! Starting at 11:00 am along Lincoln Avenue, cheer on floats, dancers, horses, and more as they travel through town showcasing their creativity and patriotic spirit.
