6 Hot Ideas to Cooling off In The Bay Area
/Temperatures throughout the Bay Area have been exceptionally high this week. Authorities are urging people to take precautions as heat indexes reach triple digits in some parts. Here are 7 of my tips on how to stay cool in the Bay Area during these hot summer days.
Summer is the perfect time to watch movies and it doesn't have to cost an arm and leg to go. Summer Movie Clubhouse: Ten Weeks of Fun Films for Kids! is just Enjoy safe and exciting big-screen entertainment for just $1.50* per ticket for each movie. Save even more with $1 OFF deals on kids’ snack packs or any size popcorn and drink combo during Summer Movie Clubhouse showtimes.
Libraries & Bookstore are Cool
Not only are libraries and bookstores cool, they are also quiet.
There are no lack of pools and waterparks to take the edge off the Bay Area heat.
In Marin, we also have some more low-key playgrounds with water features such as Maria B. Freitas Park in San Rafael to help kids stay cool.
Coast redwoods keep the land below nice and cool too. The creek next to the Mill Valley Library is my favorite to splash about.
Hit the Ice
Don’t have a Salchow, man. It may be hot outside but it's the perfect temperature to ice skate in the Bay Area. Glide on over to Yerba Buena, San Francisco's premier Ice Skating and Bowling Center open daily.
