6 Museums & Attractions Prepare to Reopen

The Bay Area will soon reopen FIVE more beloved museums and attractions this next week. Reservations are required and expect a new experience in an effort to limit risk of COVID-19 transmission.

ALL AQUARIUM TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE WITH TIMED TICKETING

Use the “Buy Tickets” button at the top right of the page to reserve your time slot. We are so excited to reopen our doors to the public with limited hours starting September 21st! Our staff has been preparing new safety measures to ensure that you return to a safe and healthy environment. When we welcome you back to the museum, you will find increased cleaning, newly installed sanitizing stations, and Plexiglass shields at our Tickets and Membership Desks. We will help facilitate physical distancing with directional signage, timed ticketing, and reduced capacity, and all visitors and staff are required to wear facial coverings inside the building. SFMOMA is reopening! We’re celebrating with two weeks of Free Community Days and free parking at the museum from Sunday, October 4–Sunday, October 18. Special member preview days will be Thursday, October 1–Saturday, October 3. Come back and enjoy the tranquil galleries, airy terraces, kid-friendly spaces, and world-class artwork you love, or visit for the first time and discover something new.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Garden! You will notice a number of changes to better control the flow of visitors and facilitate six feet physical distancing guidelines. Changes you may notice include: modified hours, reservation for admission, some closures and adjusted services, and relocation of plant sales.
