Squid for Squirts, 10am-4pm, Intrigued by ink? Tickled by tentacles? Delve into the watery world of cephalopods. Watch a mysterious squid film, learn about amazing squid adaptations and make your own squid print souvenirs. KQED Family Day: Community Celebration at the New Presidio Visitor Center, 10am-4pm, Be among the first to discover the center’s dynamic exhibits, inspiring videos, and high-tech tools. Then enjoy a special day of family fun in the park. The celebration features an Ohlone welcome dance by the Costanoan Rumsen Carmel Tribe, live musical performances, kids crafts, games, food trucks, and ranger-led walking and shuttle tours, Presidio Visitor Center, San Francisco.
Give Kids a Smile Children’s Dental Health Fair, 10am-2pm, Free screenings will include a dental exam and cleaning, orthodontic evaluations, sealants, fluoride treatment and an opportunity to have oral health questions answered. There will also be educational games with fun prizes and entertainment, such as the Little Explorers Petting Zoo. More than $150 in free dental services will be provided to each child, University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco.
