Bookmarks Presents Blackie's Hay Day

One of my favorite fall events for all ages happening Saturday, September 23 is the highly anticipated Blackie’s Hay Day. Join families from across the Bay and enjoy a day reminiscent of an old fashioned country fair filled with live music, pony rides, bouncy house, carnival games, an Extreme Air jumpy, Western Tot Town, kid-favorite Fur, Scales & Tails Animal Show and more.

Join the Blackie's Bake Off! Children can enter the Blackie’s Bake Off competition, and pit their baking skills against other children their age. Bring your dessert to Blackie's by 10AM for the big taste off. Winners of each age group will win great prizes! Winners will be announced at 11:45am.

Admission tickets for Blackie’s Hay Day are $15 per person, with children under two free. Activity tickets are $1 each or $50 for an all-day activity bracelet. VIP tickets are available. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase. Blackie’s Hay Day is presented by Bookmarks, a volunteer group that provides funding for children’s and teen programs and special events at the Belvedere Tiburon Library. Bookmarks was founded 23 years ago with the mission to inspire in children a love of books through reading, learning and discovery. Money raised through Bookmarks events supports programs and materials for children and teens: The Children’s Room, the ever popular Baby Bounce, Preschool and Toddler Story Times, Cocoa Hour Book Clubs, Teen Book Club, children and teen movie nights, monthly puppet shows, craft and game programs, teen homework help, social events, live theater and other professional performances.
