When October rolls around, the leaves start changing color, the air gets crisp and cold and the first rains of the season fall. And, of course, there is a special annual event you and your family won’t want to miss: MALT Day at the Pumpkin Patch.

So pack your kids in the car, head out to Nicasio and pick the perfect pumpkins for Halloween. A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to MALT’s work to protect farmland forever. In other words, each pumpkin you buy helps protect the land you love.

There’s lots of fun to be had for the kids from tractor rides to farm animals. And while the kids are running around, you can grab a local cider or beverage, and enjoy the view on this beautiful protected ranch. 

The beautiful Nicasio Valley Pumpkin Patch is open the whole month of October and is hosted by the MALT-protected Lafranchi Ranch, an organic farm and dairy, home to artisanal cheesemakers. On October 20, a portion of proceeds will be donated to MALT.
