Strawberry Village will host its Annual DOGtoberfest, Saturday, October 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. — featuring interactive pet related activities and resources for pet lovers and their four-legged family friends. Festivities will include free pet photos, pet sketch artist, pet psychic, animal rescue organizations and adoptions + more! Plus, there will be a Howl’oween Pet Costume Contest as well as free Center-wide trick or treating for kids and their families.
The Howl’oween Pet Costume Contest starts at 5pm, benefiting Hopalong and Second Chance Animal Rescue. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place. Every pet will receive a doggy swag bag for participating. Registration is at Woodlands Pet Food & Treats (Strawberry Village location only) anytime during business hours until October 26. The registration fee is $10 ($15 on October 26) and includes goodies for owners and their pets. One hundred percent of the registration fee will be donated to Hopalong & Second Chance Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable animals throughout Northern California.
Children accompanied by parents are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at participating merchants between 3-6pm. They can pick up a trick-or-treat bag in the Piazza, located near Woodlands Pet Food & Treats (while supplies last) and go on a hunt for fun, games and goodies provided by participating Strawberry Village stores.
