It’s winter, it’s wet, and it’s cold. Salamanders, slugs, and millipedes are out and about. We’ll explore a shady bay forest, an oak-studded woodland, and finally end up among the redwoods for lunch.
Join rangers to learn how to fish on the San Pablo Bay. A limited amount of poles will be available on a first come, first-served basis. A valid California fishing license is required when fishing from the shore, not from the pier.
We’ll take a winter walk at this beautiful preserve looking for cold weather critters.
First, we will look at amazing up-close photographs of bugs, and learn lots more about what they look like and how they live. Then, we will use watercolor paints to create our own bug ID cards, so we can take our lessons home with us.
Paint, draw, doodle and decorate! Kids will have fun working with their parents in turning their artwork into a unique redwood wall calendar.
Join us at the McInnis skatepark where rangers will offer tips and techniques for beginners as well as ways to attack features that build confidence and skill.
