LEAP will host a spring Festival that is open to the public and all are encouraged to join the fun! This year’s theme is “It’s Wild Out Here” and the event promises to be an outpouring of local music, food, art, games, crafts and more!
The festival stage will be headlined by local musician Kylie Clarke and indie/folk band Remy as well as the alternative duo, Petra led by Oliver John and Luca Stubbings, with additional performances by kids from the district as well as demonstrations from the Valley Skate Crew and Human Animal Kung Fu
In addition to past favorites like the cake walk, indigo dye, carnival games and raffle, this year will also feature a local maker’s market, free family fun zone and flower crown craft station.
“Valley Fest is a celebration of our special San Geronimo Valley Community and the Wild Land that surrounds us.” Shayna Kreps LEAP Board Treasurer and event organizer. We welcome families from all around to come and enjoy local food, music, art and fun on our beautiful West Marin campus.
In addition to being sponsored by the Pt. Reyes Farmer’s Market and the San Geronimo Community Center, the event will feature local vendors including Silver’s Shave Ice and Kinoko Japanese.
“Beyond being an important fundraiser for the school district, it is such a joyful way to bring the community together,” said Karintha Averback, one of the event organizers “It is going to be wild, really a big party to celebrate the end of the school year and Spring!.”
The event is free to the public to attend.
