Treasures of the Winter Night

  • Ring Mountain Preserve 203 Taylor Rd CA, 94920 United States (map)

We're partnering with Marin Stargazers to view the beautiful astronomical treasures of the
winter night sky. Venus, Jupiter, the Moon, and the Pleiades, will be on display, as will Mighty Orion the Hunter with its Great Nebula joined by the Double Cluster in Perseus and the Andromeda Galaxy. Experienced volunteers with telescopes will guide us through our solar system, into our galaxy, and beyond as we explore our place in the universe.

The walk to the viewing site is approximately .4-mile (one way). Appropriate for all ages. We'll provide coffee, hot chocolate, and glowsticks. Bring warm clothes and a flashlight/headlamp.

Friendly dogs are ok but must be on leash. Space is limited: registration is required. Illness,
adverse weather/viewing conditions, or poor air quality may cancel. If in doubt, check your email two hours before the event to confirm the status.
