The Bay Area Discovery Museum’s staff is going to Maker Faire, and we want to take your work with us! Join us for a special Fab Lab class on Wednesday, May 16 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
During 3D Modeling: From Here to Faire, children use 3D modeling software to design parts for BADM’s Maker Faire booth: Chain Reactions! After working with BADM’s Fab Lab and Try It Truck staff to learn more about the principles of 3D modeling, participants will be free to create on their own. Designs will be printed and cut using the Fab Lab’s high-tech tools like the 3D printer and laser cutter, and will be a featured part of the museum’s Maker Faire activity.
Please note:
- This class is included with museum admission or free for BADM members.
- Projects are suited for children 6+.
- Accompanying adults are not required to register for this event. Complete registration for your child(ren) only.
- Projects will not be available for children to take home.
