Join us for another exciting summer of science at the Hall! From our special Sunday Funday events to our newest exhibit, Dinosaurs in Motion, there are so many ways to explore, discover, and invent at the Hall. Take a look and see what we have in store.

From June 8 to September 2, the Hall will be open daily, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

June 9 | Dinosaurs in Motion
Celebrate the start of summer and the opening of our new exhibit, Dinosaurs in Motion, with an action-packed day of dino-themed activities!

June 16 | Set Sail
Design, build, and test your own sailboat out of recycled materials in our Forces That Shape the Bay outdoor science park.

June 23 | Big Bug Bonanza
Join SaveNature.org and meet insects, arachnids, and other creepy crawlies of all shapes and sizes.

June 30 | Space Exploration
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing with special space exploration activities, discounted Planetarium shows, and a special screening of KQED’s Chasing the Moon documentary.

July 7 | Food Festival
July is food science month at the Hall! Kick off a month of special events with a celebration of food and culture.

July 14 | Mighty Microbes
Food science month continues with an exploration of how microbes such as fungus and yeast make possible foods we enjoy, like yogurt, kombucha, and beer.

July 21 | Sweet Science
Celebrate sweet foods with our annual celebration of National Ice Cream Day, and learn about the important role of bees and honey with Planet Bee.

July 28 | Future Food
Food science month comes to a close with a look at the future of food, including sustainability, genetic modification, and much more.

August 4 | Bodies in Motion
Celebrate the human body and what it can do! Catch our annual trapeze show featuring Les Aerielles, and learn more about the human body though other hands-on activities.

August 11 | Chemistry Celebration
2019 is the international year of the periodic table. Join us to learn about elements and the periodic table, and share your favorite element (ours is Lawrencium—true story)!
