Let's observe the solar eclipse together! While the Bay Area is not on the path of annularity, we will still have around 80% coverage with a partial eclipse and would love to invite you to celebrate this astronomical event with us! Please see below an overview of the program:
8:30-10:30 am: Eclipse observing with telescopes and other viewing equipment. The full annular eclipse will also be live streamed. At the event, you will have the opportunity to observe with:

Although weather-permitting, this event is free, open to all, and especially kids- and family-friendly!While walk-ins are also welcome, registration is strongly encouraged.
************** Directions & Parking *****************
This event will take place on the Intramural (IM) South Fields on the Stanford campus (where Google Map marks as "General Lot 4"). Pedestrian access to the venue are located at the El Camino & Churchill Mall, El Camino & Churchill Ave., and El Camino & Serra St. intersections.
The closest visitor parking is in the Varsity Lot (south of the Stanford Stadium). All parking is free in spaces marked Visitor, A, C, or E during weekends unless indicated otherwise. Ample accessible parking is available in this lot. A golf cart will also be shuttling individuals with mobility issues between the parking lot and the venue. Street parking is also available along El Camino Real.
If you plan to take public transportation, please take bus route 22 and get off at El Camino & Churchill. Route 22 also connects to the Palo Alto Transit Center.
