Enjoy a day of art and family fun at SFMOMA. Participate in an array of creative activities that can be enjoyed together, including art making, story time with San Francisco Public Library librarians, a treasure hunt that takes you around the museum, and a film screening in our theater. Thematic activities for Free Family Day will highlight the people of San Francisco and their stories, and explore photography as an artistic practice, taking inspiration from artist JR’s expansive digital mural The Chronicles of San Francisco (on view in the Roberts Family Gallery off the Howard Street entrance beginning May 23).
Attendance is free for up to two adults accompanying each visitor 18 and younger. Special Free Family Day activities will conclude at 4 p.m., but the galleries will remain accessible until the museum closes at 5 p.m.
Tickets are available on-site only, and cannot be purchased in advance. Free Family Day tickets do not include admission to the special exhibition Andy Warhol―From A to B and Back Again. Learn more here.
