2 Screenings: 11am & 5:30pm
Science fiction has long stirred us to reflect on how far we’ve come and to imagine a future full of possibilities. From Jules Verne’s dream of an underwater ship to Star Trek’s communication devices, works of fiction have long played a role in inspiring real-life inventions and innovations.
During our 50th anniversary year, we reached out to scientists at UC Berkeley and beyond to learn what movies inspired them. Beginning on Sunday, November 11, join us for our Science Film Festival featuring four popular science films and one new documentary. Each movie will be introduced by scientists who inspired and were inspired by it.
