Mammoths in the marsh, sloths in the sloughs, saber-toothed tigers in the streams, condors in the conifers, elk in the estuary—meet the prehistoric "friends of China Camp." This evening event will take you on a virtual walk with these and the other Pleistocene giants that once roamed through the region.
Join us as naturalist Harold Hirsch leads a stimulating discussion about the remarkable creatures that roamed the Bay Area during the last Ice Age.
Harold Hirsch has been a naturalist with China Camp State Park for over three years. He has a keen interest in the natural world and has led numerous hikes and naturalist programs on a variety of topics.
