Annual Plowing Play Day

The North Coast Draft Horse and Mule Association presents Plowing Play Day on Sunday, May 20, from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Jack London State Historic Park. This free popular family event features historic farming practices, and free wagon rides around the historic ranch buildings. Enjoy learning about mules along with Clydesdale, Percheron, Shire, and Belgian draft horses. Demonstrations include blacksmithing, horseshoeing, early day gas engines and more. Travel back in time and experience real live horsepower at the Beauty Ranch, home of the famous author Jack London, who also raised English Shire draft horses.

The park entry fee of $10 per vehicle includes all activities.
