At long last, the Ocean Avenue Block Party is just around the corner! For the fourth anniversary of this celebration, we’ve relocated from Howth Street to Unity Plaza on Ocean Avenue, for a bigger & better party and more opportunities to connect to our local community.
On Saturday, April 14: 1–4PM, join us at Unity Plaza (1002 Ocean Avenue) for an afternoon of local arts and culture, with food trucks, games for all ages, entertainment, and hands-on activities. Young artists from Youth Art Exchange and Lick-Wilmerding High School will host arts activities for all ages, including beatmaking contests, clothing design and upcycling, a mobile photobooth, documentary filmmaking, social justice screenprinting, and more. Entertainment includes dance performances, live music, and DJ sets throughout the afternoon!
Following the block party, Disney’s blockbuster hit COCO will light up the big screen in a free movie night at Lick-Wilmerding High School. There will be popcorn, of course! The movie begins at 5PM.
Both the Ocean Avenue Block Party and the movie night are FREE and open to all.
