Curious about the quirks of Quercus? Join us for this 1.5-hour educational hike as we explore the science and ecology of local oak trees of the Bay Area. Oak trees are the center of life in the woodland forests that bear their name. These nutrient powerhouses provide essential calories for hundreds of species, in addition to providing crucial habitat. Learn about special adaptations and interrelationships amongst these grand beings. This will be a moderate hike that will begin at the Knight Drive trailhead.
