FREE ADMISSION | Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service

  • Museum of the African Diaspora 685 Mission Street San Francisco, CA, 94105 United States (map)

MoAD will celebrate the national observance of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday as a Day of Service, providing FREE admission to the museum and programs throughout the day.

Through film, art, and music, our special guests will help us reflect on the importance of free speech and diverse communities. Marcus Shelby presents MLK and the Blues, and a documentary created by the King Institute at Stanford University will screen in our Freedom Theater. A family art activity and gallery scavenger hunt connects families to our spring exhibition, Black Refractions: Highlights from the Studio Museum in Harlem.

Come together to celebrate the life and achievements of one of our nation’s greatest heroes.
