Founding SFJAZZ Collective alto saxophonist Miguel Zenón presents the world premiere of Golden City Suite, his musical tribute to the immigrant communities of San Francisco. In 2018, the Guggenheim Fellow and MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient conducted interviews in San Francisco’s Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, African-American and other ethnic communities, composing a large-scale work based on those perspectives.
