Marin Music Chest showcases the talents of five emerging classical musicians at its annual “Young Artists Concert,” presented at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, in Mill Valley.
The annual Marin Music Chest “Young Artists Concert” (co-sponsored by Chamber Music Marin) features performances by promising young Marin County musicians studying classical music: Alexandra Kiryakina (harp) of Novato; Owen Xu (piano), Angus LaFemina (piano), Terence Malloy (double bass) of San Rafael; and Xei Sackett (piano) of Corte Madera.
The “Young Artists Concert” will be presented at Mt. Tamalpais United Methodist Church, 410 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Marin Music Chest is a private, non-profit organization staffed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors with an extensive musical background and an Artistic Council with professional experience in music. Marin Music Chest has been dedicated to fostering a greater interest and appreciation of classical music in Marin since 1933 and has supported young classical musicians living in Marin County with annual scholarship awards and performance opportunities.
