Marble Runs II: Mechanisms and AI presented by Steamlabs

What’s even more fun than building a marble run? Programming an impartial AI to judge the winner! Tutorials and free print-and-cut plans to make marble starting gates, elevators, elastic bumpers and more on the SteamLabs website: https://steamlabs.ca/marble-runs/

Watch and comment LIVE on Maker Camp and Make: Magazine FB page.

Use recycled materials like pop bottle tops to make funnels, milk carton towers and more. Follow the guide to train an AI model to use your webcam to declare the winning marble! If you have an Arduino or a Micro:bit or other microcontroller, you can use it with other downloadable plans and code. For example, program it to hear you saying “on your mark, get set, GO!”, and activate a servo motor to release the marbles!

Materials List:

Starting Gate Design Template
Cardboard (corrugated)
Straws
