Join us for Fairyland’s Latinx Heritage Celebration in the park on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 for a vibrant, uplifting, and inspired weekend of family fun honoring the heritages and cultures within the Latinx community.
During Hispanic Heritage month we celebrate Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

Join our Book Celebrations guest author Michael Genhart, PhD as he reads excerpts from his latest book Spanish is the Language of my Family at the Emerald City Stage.

Come to the Teddy Bear Picnic area for arts and crafts inspired by Ballet Folklorico!

Stick around for a very special performance by San Francisco based dance group, Cuicacalli bringing its youth dancers to our stage. Known for its Indigenous, Ballet Folklorico, and Contemporary Dance programs, Cuicacalli is sure to inspire and mesmerize Fairyland friends of all ages. This event will be a feast for the eyes and the ears! You will not want to miss it!

Brazilian Beats!
Marcos Odara has been playing the conga drums for 39 years and teaching for the last 20. Odara hails from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil and now calls Oakland home. The drum master teaches Brazilian drumming in Oakland and Berkeley. Join him at the Emerald City Stage for an interactive, educational demo + performance sure to get your whole crew in motion!
