Join rangers for this fun fishing contest! Prizes awarded for the biggest and highest number of halibut caught. Halibut and striped bass will be the target species. Timeline as follows: 8am-1pm on the water, 2pm-3pm awards. Categories as follows: Kids Division (Under 16), Men’s (16+) Women’s (16+).

This event is ideal for all ages. All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Don’t forget to bring kayak, water, sun hat, sunscreen and a packed lunch. We’ll provide a limited amount of fishing poles, thanks to the Department of Fish and Wildlife. A fishing license is required for participants 16 and over. No pets (except service animals) are allowed at this park.
