Bring your kids out to our annual carnival and community picnic on June 27, when they will enjoy a day of food, games, and fun with fellow Berkeleyans.

Children are invited to jump on giant inflatables, scramble through an obstacle course, or play a variety of sports. We’ll also have carnival games, a petting zoo with bunnies and goats, and a tot-zone for our littlest ones.

Your kids would join others coming from most of the 16 summer camps run by our Recreation Division. Friends, neighbors, as well as kids from privately-run camps are also welcome.

Have lunch on us! Fuddruckers will serve hotdogs and burgers with chips for a picnic meal. We’ll also have popcorn and cotton candy. Register online to shorten time to enter the carnival. Get in early, as we anticipate some lines.

This free picnic will include:

• Carnival Games – Plinko, Matching Ducks, Knockdown, and Boots and All (ages from toddlers to age 14)

• Food – Fuddruckers beef and veggie burgers, hotdogs, chips, and beverages

• Entertainment – photobooth

• Inflatables – Giant jumpers (ages from toddlers to age 14)

• Music – DJ’d by City staff

• Obstacle Course – Climb, crawl, and zig-zag through the jumper, and race against each other in age-appropriate groups (up to age 14)

• Petting Zoo – Bunnies, goats, chicken, and more (for up to age 7)

• Sports Zone – Baseball pitch, soccer, basketball 3-point contest, basketball skills challenge, football skills challenge (for ages 10 to 14)

• Tot Zone – Petting Zoo, jumper, games (for up to age 7)

• Treats – popcorn and cotton candy
