Much-needed rain is in the forecast this weekend, which is great news…but not so great for outdoor events. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we’re cancelling First Sunday Afternoons on Sunday, November 6.

This is the last First Sunday Afternoons at Presidio Tunnel Tops event of the season! Enjoy family-friendly fun for all ages on Sunday, November 6, 1 to 4 pm. This month features live performances on the Community Stage with Urban Jazz Dance Company, Amani Jade, Los Nadies, DJ Maitre D, and Te Pura O Te Rahura’a (pronounced “Teh-Pooh-Rah-oh-tay-rah-hoo-rah-ah), Spark of Creation Studio's Polynesian Dance Troupe. Also, enjoy Presidio Pop Up food vendors and public art from Favianna Rodriquez.

The schedule of performances includes:

• 1 pm – WELCOME

• 1:15 pm – URBAN JAZZ DANCE COMPANY
  RAW energy, ROOTED in FREEDOM

• 1:45 pm – AMANI JADE
  SF’s Own Multi-Faceted Femcee

• 2:15 pm – LOS NADIES
  Danceable Latin Fusion for The People

• 2:45 pm – DJ MAITRE D
  The Avid Record Collector with Expansive Global Mashups

• 3:15 pm – TE PURA O TE RAHURA’A
  Tahitian Dance Performance + Audience Participation.

• 4 pm – PARK RANGER CAMPFIRE TALK

The series is co-curated with the Presidio Activator Council and Community Experts, Hip Hop for Change, and World Arts West.

First Sunday afternoons will return spring 2023.
