Osage body and earth artist brooke smiley and SOZO will join The Lawrence for an art installation of EARTH.SPEAKS, smiley will lead visitors in building earth markers in Forces That Shape the Bay, collaborating with participants across organizations, including BIONEERS Native Youth Leadership Program. EARTH.SPEAKS is a land-based art project aimed at healing and uplifting Native voices through community creation of earth markers, a sustainable practice of sculpture building. Community building will begin on March 30.
