EVENT TIMES for 2025! Small Humans roll from 2pm -3pm and Adult Children from 3pm to 5pm.
Young people, preferred under 13 years old (with adult supervision or permission) have their own hour to roll before the big kids go down. Some of these riders may be very little and accompanied by their guardians via a tether or sitting together. Be respectful and give them space during this time. We are reserving this hour for the little ones no matter how few we have so we will not begin the regular all-ride until the 3pm. Please make sure you have signed a rider waiver for your youngin’ and understand that you assume all responsibility for their safety, especially if you allow them to ride later with the adults.
Please tape Up Your Metal Spokes / Pegs!
BYOBW has traditionally been for plastic trikes only but through the years we’ve allowed metal frame bikes but only if they are made as safe as possible. If your trike has metal spokes and/or trick pegs we request that you tape and / or pad them so that the possibility of fingers being mangled and legs being impaled is lessened on your fellow riders. If you show up with a non-taped metal trike we will likely harass you with tape until you are sufficiently safety-fied.

NO SOUND SYSTEMS ALLOWED IN THE PARK OR STREET CLOSURE – PLEASE TAKE YOUR RAVE ELSEWHERE
Do Not Block The Stairs – Let riders get back up the hill! Now that the event has gained more popularity our riders and the neighbors who actually live on Vermont Street are having a harder time getting up the stairs because of spectators blocking the way. Riders! use the wider stairs along the park side to to get back up to the starting line. Avoid the stairs along the side of the houses.
