Build a Dramatic Headpiece with Paper and Cardboard
In this session, Carrie Leung and Twila Busby, MakeFashion Edu creators, will get you started on your exploration of paper and cardboard as a material to create dramatic and expressive headpieces. A headpiece can add to your existing costume or it can be the centerpiece of a visual expression. Either way, the head is a great canvas for a costume.
First let’s think about: What’s important to you? What inspires you? What do you want to say visually? From those ideas, you get to choose what kind of headpiece you want to make. We will show how to build a base and some paper techniques that can create any kind of project that speaks to you.
This session is all about empowering makers to be creative with their visual storytelling!
