Join us online with author Katie Fallon and “HD,” a live, non-releasable screech-owl who lives at the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia, as they read one of Katie’s children’s books, Look, See the Farm! This book is the story of two sisters who visit their grandparents’ organic farm during each of the four seasons, discovering the many birds that make the farm their home. After the story, HD the screech-owl will help explain the ways that screech-owls contribute to healthy farms and ecosystems. Although the book is written for children in PreK to 2nd grade, people of any age will enjoy hearing about birds and farms—and meeting HD!
